James- origin Hebrew & English, meaning supplanter (one who wrongfully or illegally seizes and holds the place of another) Additional Info- There are many saints called James, the most famous being Saint James the Elder, one of the Apostles. As a common name it has many namesakes, such the fictional British spy James Bond ("007"). The name has been used for royalty: James has been the name of two Kings of England.
I guess the meanings are pretty bland huh??
